At the busy intersection of 8th Avenue and 42nd Street in New York City, a group of buildings had been demolished as part of an excavation project for a new building, which was to be erected on the site. Asbestos materials had contaminated the soil during the demolition, and had to be removed before new construction could begin. Pinnacle's Asbestos-certified personnel loaded the soil onto trucks, which passed through special washing stations on-site to ensure that no contamination would occur during the transportation of materials to the special land-fill areas. The entire project was completed within 4 weeks. The process adhered strictly to site regulations, and caused little or no traffic disruption.
hen soil becomes contaminated, the only resolution is often to remove it from the environment. In such situations Pinnacle provides the licensed operators and heavy equipment necessary to fully contain and remove soil contaminated with asbestos, lead, heavy metals, acids, organic chemical residues and other hazardous materials.
