ne of most effective means of removing asbestos-based mastic or lead-based paint from floor and wall surfaces is shot blasting. Pinnacle employs shot-blasting technology in both interior and exterior remediation projects. This technology enables us to resolve problems quickly and cost-effectively without residual contamination of the surrounding environment.
  At Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Pinnacle was contracted to remove vinyl asbestos tile from an interior, active working environment. It was crucial to do the job without the use of any chemical materials, which might cause contamination. After closing the hospital wing and creating a full-containment work area, Pinnacle crews removed tiles and all asbestos-containing mastic from the floor, using our own Blastrac shot-blasting machine. This process eliminated the possibility of environmental contamination, including odors, off-gassing vapors, and potential chemical leakage into the active hospital floors below.
