Mr. Nugent: In reference to the project captioned above, I.H. Consultants, Inc., (as consultant for WPG Residential, Inc., the managing firm) oversaw and directed mold abatement activities undertaken by Pinnacle Environment Corp (Pinnacle). Plumbing failure had led to considerable flooding in several apartments, which in turn was responsible for mold growth in these apartments. Pinnacle was charged with removing mold-contaminated and water-damaged materials in these apartments and other public areas affected by the flood on several floors. Mold abatement work was to take place on occupied floors, thereby requiring no fault pneumatic isolation of work areas from the rest of the apartments on any given floor. In addition, Pinnacle was responsible for decontaminating, relocating and safeguarding personal belongings of occupants, which included household articles and rather expensive artwork. It is my pleasure to report that this project was successfully completed with minimal disturbance to building occupants and without compromising project goals. This would not have been possible without our field staff's cooperation. I found them to be well trained and well informed on dealing with the contaminant of concern (mold). I wish to compliment Pinnacle's efforts, which were instrumental for a successful and cost-effective mold abatement project.
